The photos above show the firewall layout I decided upon. It was the most
advantageous I could come up with to be able to get to all the components while
staying close to the Sonex guidelines. In areas that showed oil canning tendencies i
reinforced the front and backsides with a thin aluminum plate. It has proven to stop
much of the movement on the fire wall at a very modest weight penalty. All other
components were as recommended by Sonex. I tried to get as much completed prior
to mounting the engine.
