Detail parts are the first oredr of buiseness. The hockey sticks are
precut and laser drilled but,  required careful bending to achieve the
required angle. The root rib clips are straight forward. The leading
edge clips require a precise bend. The rib assemblies are straight
forward however, a careful measurment is required from the bends.
I built a test piece and checked the measurements to ensure an
accurate rib would be produced after the bend. It payed off
especially on the critical forward and rear stabilator spars. It was
critical that the assembly have NO TWIST so, all construction was
accomplished on a flat surface. Clamped supported and drilled and
clecoed in place . (See photos below)
Assembly of the components was straight forward. All pieces fit
really well and the final measurements were right on specs. After
the frame was clecoed in place and checked for flat (NO TWIST)
I readied the root rib for final assembly. I completed this part of
the assembly and only clipped the tips at this point. I will start on
the ruddervators at a later time due to a parts back order. I must
note that in every case when Sonex has told me of a proposed
arrival date for my parts they were right on. This is truley a
company who understands the meaning of customer support.
Thanks Sonex.
