The workshop is divided into areas to allow layout, fabrication, cutting, finishing
etc., while still maintaining the primary work bench for construction only. This
photo is of the tool and fabrication area.
The plans table in this picture was designed to allow the Waiex plans to be completely laid
out, allowing the back of the previous page to be used for notes and comments. The finished
table measures 36" x 72" and I used an old drafting table base I had under the house. The
top was made from a piece of MDF

Workshop
The Workshop for my Waiex is located in my basement. It is my woodworking shop converted for the Waiex project. Yes there are
basements in Florida. I live on a ridge 86 feet above sea level. Its a daylight type basement. Entry is through a set of double doors with
a  72" opening. The shop measures 22x33 feet and is air conditioned and has three windows. A two car garage will act as a temporary
storage area during inventory and set up. My hangar located at Dunnellon Marion County Airport, will act as storage for all completed
major components and the final assembly and rigging will take place there.
The work bench was constructed of 2X4s and MDF for the top of
the shelf and work surfaces. The Table was 12 feet in length and 48
inches wide. A large Nut was inserted into each leg of the table after a
deep hole was drilled. Then a Large bolt was inserted into the nut
forming and adjustable leg at each critical location which enabled me
to perfectly level the table. It works great and the cost was very
reasonable.
By placing the on the outside of the top and shelf frames it
allowed an overhang of the top material for a clamping
surface
